is partnering with a hospital 1 hour outside of Indianapolis, Indiana, with a locum opening for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide hematology oncology coverage.

Opportunity Highlights:

• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5:30p
• Call rotation every 4th or 5th week
• Daily Volume: 15-18 patients
• Level III trauma facility
• Setting: Primarily outpatient with some inpatient
• Patient Mix: 70% oncology, 30% hematology
• Support Staff: Oncologists, APP, MA
• Must be board-certified or board-eligible
• Paid travel & lodging

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• National Institutes of Health (NIH)
• Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Active unencumbered Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Indiana state license
• Graduate from a fully accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
• One year of work experience as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• One year of EMR experience
• Board Certified

• Maintains and updates clinical knowledge and skills.
• Participates in relevant continuing education programs.
• Knowledge of and dedication to the highest patient care and provide the utmost service excellence to all patients.
• Ability to take initiative and to exercise independent judgment, decision-making and problem-solving expertise.
• A can-do, team oriented attitude is essential, as the ability to work independently and to interact easily with physicians, other managers and staff throughout the department and hospital.
• Effective interpersonal/communication, organizational, and the flexibility to handle multiple tasks.
