About the Role:
The STEPS Maintenance Technician II Healthcare supports the Facilities Department's mission by delivering general maintenance services across UK HealthCare hospital facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, operating, and repairing building systems in compliance with The Joint Commission Standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform timely repairs on building systems to maintain safe and efficient operations
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing fixtures (e.g., faucets, commodes, sewer and water lines)
- Maintain and repair HVAC systems, including air handling units, reheat coils, and thermostats
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical components such as plugs, lights, ballasts, and fuses
- Replace broken or defective mechanical parts and systems as needed

Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesDoes this position have supervisory responsibilities? NoPreferred Education/ExperienceHS + 2- 4 years of experience in building maintenance, equipment maintenance and/or general maintenance. HVAC Trouble shooting and repair experience preferred.
