Company Profile
ThedaCare
Company Overview
ThedaCare is the third largest healthcare employer in Wisconsin, and the largest employer in Northeast Wisconsin with over 7,000 team members.
We want to make exceptional care effortless for our patients. At ThedaCare, that means going above and beyond treating a particular condition – it means helping you achieve better health for life. You and your family are at the center of everything we do, from prioritizing your schedule when making appointments to designing our facilities for your comfort and convenience. Remaining proactive in your care allows us to better predict and prevent disease before complications arise, and when it comes to making important health-related decisions, we are here to support you. In every interaction, we want you to have full confidence the care you receive is purposeful, cost-effective and will help you continue enjoying life as you’ve planned it.
ThedaCare is evolving into a population health organization, challenging the antiquated systems that incentivize more procedures over preventative measures. Customers of health services across Northeast and Central Wisconsin want to live healthier, more meaningful lives. It’s ThedaCare’s purpose to help them do just that.
To that end, the best models today suggest only 20% of health is created inside the walls of health care systems. That means that 80% of health is a result of what happens in our homes, our workplaces, our schools, our faith institutions, our communities. (See graphic below). To achieve our mission, ThedaCare is engaged upstream, in these same venues, linked arm in arm with public health and our communities to build health and well-being together.
ThedaCare’s Community Health Improvement efforts are focused on working with community partners to shift the focus over time to upstream investment in vital conditions that lay the foundation for all to achieve their best possible life.

maintain their best health and live their best lives. Whether your job
is to take care of our patients, or your role is to take care of the people
who care for our patients, you are critical to ThedaCare’s mission of
improving the health of the community.
As such, we want to make sure you are living your healthiest and best
life, too. While we are on a journey to transform to a population health
organization, we must start from within our organization and lead by
example. Our commitment is to help you live well and be well through
a full plan of improved benefits that include easy access to affordable,
high-quality health care.
So in 2021 we did something different, we talked with many of you
to learn what benefits are most meaningful to you at this point in
your life. Our goal is to keep your feedback at the center of the benefit
decisions we make that impact you and your family. While we still have
work to do, your voice is heard and we are taking the first steps in what
we anticipate will be a three-year plan to enhance the benefit package
we offer.
Our plan also includes providing tools to assist and empower you
in your well-being journey. With that in mind, we launched
Better U on the Ripple by ThedaCare application. This will be a great
asset to help our team members and their family manage and take charge of your
health journey.
